Union Title Services was founded in 1985 by Silma Sherman and Thomas G. Sherman, Esq. Four decades later it remains exactly what it was built to be, an independent, family-run firm where clients reach the people who do the work.
We are a boutique firm by design. That means we are customer-driven and, above all, available (clients can almost always reach us when something matters). It also means the size of a transaction never changes the standard of care: we routinely handle everything from everyday residential closings to nine-figure commercial developments.
Thomas G. Sherman, Esq. was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1976 and has built the firm's reputation over a career devoted to Florida real estate. Together with Silma Sherman, he guided Union Title Services through four decades of changing markets, a continuity of judgment that institutional lenders, developers, and families have relied on for a generation.
Over four decades the firm has served as developer's closing agent for condominium projects of every size, from a few units to large multi-building communities. That record has been recognized with numerous awards as a top regional agent of Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company, a reflection of consistent volume, clean files, and dependable service.

Union Title Services is a title and escrow agency. Sharing our Coral Gables office is the affiliated Law Offices of Thomas G. Sherman, P.A., a separate law firm that serves as our in-house counsel. Title and escrow work is handled by Union Title; broader real estate legal matters are handled directly by the law firm.
